AHR has a variety of options to assist you in financing a new home. For instance, you may have good credit and sufficient income, but lack the funds for your down payment and closing costs. We have down payment loan programs that can take care of this for you.
New Program to Help Tennesseans
If you're an unemployed or significantly underemployed Tennessee homeowner and are struggling to pay your mortgage, you can now receive forgivable loans through the Hardest Hit Fund Program - a free U.S. Treasury program administered in Tennessee by Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) and accessible through NeighborWorks Alliance of Tennessee. Down Payment Assistance
AHR offers several opportunities for HUD approved down payment assistance which meets the requirements of the New Housing Bill effective October 1, 2008.
Because of the influx of customers needing down payment assistance, AHR's Waller Fund is currently out of funds.
THDA Preserve Loan Program
Preserve Loans are available for eligible low- and moderate- income Middle Tennessean homeowners that need to carry out eligible rehabilitation and home improvement activities on their primary residence. Repairing a home can preserve or increase home value, which is important, as a home for many people is their greatest wealth asset. The Preserve Loan Program offers a four percent (4%) interest rate on home repair loans. For more information on this loan product, contact AHR at 615-251-0025 ext. 0.
